We hereby share an unofficial translation of a statement by the Communist Party of Turkey/Marxist-Leninist (TKP/ML) Political Bureau of the Central Committee (PB-CC).

TKP/ML PB-CC: Palestine and Lebanon national resistances will win, Zionist Barbarism will lose!

As the first anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation carried out by the Palestinian resistance against Zionist Israel on October 7, 2023 approaches, Zionist Israel has been carrying out a genocide that includes dehumanizing Gaza while murdering Palestinians with no stop for almost a year. Zionist barbarism undoubtedly cannot be explained by the revenge of the sovereign State alone, as it massacred tens of thousands of Palestinians, including children and women, bombed hospitals and schools, and tried to depopulate Gaza in response to the Al-Aqsa Flood. Israel is making a move to reorganize all the balances in the region and re-establish political-economic-military balances. In this axis, it integrates its military aggression with its invasive approach and acts with the idea of expanding the war towards Iran-Syria-Yemen-Iraq and Lebanon.

In the last month, it has been escalating its attacks against Lebanon and Hezbollah in particular. On the one hand, it carries out attacks involving mass murder in Palestine and Lebanon, and on the other hand, it engages in massacres against the leadership of Palestine, Iran, Hezbollah and the Houthis. It murdered Hamas Leader Ismail Haniyeh within the borders of Iran and also Fuat Şükrü, one of the Hezbollah leaders, in Lebanon.

As the anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Flood approaches, Zionist Israel is taking steps with all its power to spread the war, first to Lebanon and then to the whole region. Attacks targeting Hezbollah and Lebanon have intensified in the last 10 days. First, it organized a comprehensive attack by simultaneously detonating the bombs it placed on thousands of pagers used by Hezbollah, murdering dozens of people and injuring thousands. It then launched a campaign of attacks that targeted Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and dozens of its leaders and led to the murder of more than a thousand people in a week. In this reactionary campaign, more than 300 Lebanese were murdered in a single attack only on September 27 used 80 tons of bombs. Hassan Nasrallah and a significant part of Hezbollah’s Command Level were also murdered in this attack.

The September 27 attack was carried out while Netanyahu was stating to the world in his message at the United Nations General Assembly that he would continue the massacres. In his speech, Netanyahu was giving the message of a regional war with a map dividing the Middle East and North Africa into two. At the G-20 summit, Netanyahu included Saudi Arabia-United Arab Emirates-Sudan-Egypt and Israel as the “blessed” map, which includes the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor under the leadership of the USA, and Iran-Lebanon-Yemen-Iraq and Syria as the “curse” map and clearly divided the region into two camps.

Zionist Israel carries out the massacres against the people and the leaders of the resistance in Palestine and Lebanon not only to display its power and prove that it is invincible, but also to expand the war by dividing the entire region into two. It is trying to secure its economic and political interests, together with US imperialism, by destroying the just and legitimate Palestinian and Lebanese resistances and leaving them without leadership. It is of the opinion that it will secure its economic and political interests to the extent that it neutralizes the Palestinian and Lebanese resistances and drags them into despair and surrender. It sends a message to all the peoples and States of the region with its massacre and war provocation.

No matter how much Zionist Israel tries to crush the people of the region with its war machine, no matter how much it massacres symbolic leaders of resistance and victory against Zionism, such as Hassan Nasrallah, it will not be able to avoid consequences such as the Al-Aqsa Flood of October 7 and the defeat in Lebanon in 2006. The resistance, determination and perseverance of the Palestinian and Lebanese national struggles cannot be destroyed. Israel’s unjust and reactionary war-mongering will not be able to eliminate the anger and hatred of the people of the region and the need for stronger and more advanced organization. The oppressed peoples and nations of the Middle East will expand the line of justified and legitimate armed resistance and struggle against the outpost of imperialism, the Zionist reaction stuck in the middle of the Middle East and North Africa, and its simply unjust war.

The Palestinian and Lebanese National Resistances and struggles will definitely win. Stronger Al-Aqsa Floods, more determined and consistent resistance leaders and lines will emerge from the heart of the Palestinian and Lebanese national liberation struggles and will defeat Zionism and imperialist reaction.
