Voting is endorsing the social system and electing another government that is more starving, more genocidal and sells the country than the previous one.
Marx noted: "The oppressed are authorized to decide once every several years which members of the oppressing class are to represent them and crush them in Parliament!"
In Peru, elections are an instrument of domination by large landowners and big bourgeois for the replacement of reactionary authorities, serving to preserve or develop the Peruvian State, a landowner-bureaucratic State, the formal republic, the dictatorship of large landowners and big bourgeois at the service of imperialism.
The elections have been, as could not be otherwise within the prevailing social order, an instrument in the hands of thecomprador bourgeoisie and the bureaucratic bourgeoisie. This is the main thing in the electoral processes of the Peruvian State in the previous century and so far in the 21st century and it is what has determined the class character of the elections in the country.
The people cannot expect anything good from the old semi-colonial and semi-feudal Peruvian society on which a bureaucratic capitalism develops at the service of imperialism, mainly North American and the old State that represents and defends it.
The old society of exploitation and oppression, one of the most unequal in the world, cannot offer any real solution, much less one that can satisfy the growing basic needs of the increasingly neglected masses, and only offers more unemployment, longer work hours to survive, lower wages and salaries, fewer rights and greater cuts in achievements and benefits. That it would continue to increase with the black economic perspective of the outdated Peruvian society and greater exploitation and oppression for the people. It is good to repeat it, the economic base of the old society is semi-feudal and semi-colonial on which imperialism develops bureaucratic capitalism at its service.
On that economic basis, outdated and reactionary institutions are built that only survive by the force of inertia and the weapons that sustain them, spilling more and more and bathing in the incendiary blood of the unarmed, vilely oppressed people, who began to say Enough on May 17, 1980, and who believe less and less in the old State and expect less from the government every day. In conclusion, discredit, disorder, chaos in addition to corruption and the most shameless cynicism corrode the landowner-bureaucratic State for whose government they compete again frivolously and happily, with verbal skirmishes and perhaps the occasional clash, two demagogues who are the ones left in contention, with poorly concealed interests and unbridled ambitions, K. Fujimori and R. Sánchez.
Therefore it is worth asking what the elections imply? Does the people need to go to the amphorae? Is it convenient for the people to vote? Looking at Peru's own experience, what revolutionary transformation has the people achieved through electoral votes or parliamentary activities? Every conquest has been achieved in practice by the popular struggle and it is based on its results that the laws that recognized them were enacted, reducing them from the beginning or later following a process to reduce or annul them; the development of labor legislation is sufficient proof. And the conquest of political rights has been the same. Clearly, all this apart from the conquest of Power, since for a revolutionary it is only conquered by revolutionary violence which in Peru is simply popular war from the countryside to the city.
But let us also ask ourselves what benefits the people have really obtained, in the facts of participation in the Constituent Assembly and in the general elections from 1980 to the present; of the first, simply serve the restructuring of the reactionary Peruvian State; As for the second, the emergence of successive reactionary governments from Belaunde to Castillo, each one more starving, genocidal and country-selling than its predecessor.
And what can the people, the masses, expect from participating in the 2026 general elections, now in their second round? Well, simply and concretely, voting is endorsing the social system and electing another government that is more starving, more genocidal, and sells the country! Well, this is what the need of the old State determines.

The people cannot serve their exploiters and oppressors, they cannot help them solve their problems, they cannot endorse their social system, much less serve to elect another government worse than their predecessors; for that is not their path nor does it serve their own interests. The only thing that fits today is NOT TO VOTE!; It is the only truly popular response to the elections of the reactionary State and its current fascist, genocidal, and country-selling regime now headed by the reactionary fool Balcazar.
The boycott of reactionary elections is a fair and correct tactic that serves the people and the revolution!

The bare figures show the results of the electoral farce of April 12/13, 2026 to legitimize the replacement of authorities of the old Peruvian State. OUR READING OF THE ELECTION RESULTS
1. They highlight the very low vote of the first two candidates, none of them, neither the candidate of Fuerza Popular, founded by the fascist, genocidal and traitor Fujimori, Keiko Fujimori, nor the candidate of the group Together for Peru, founded by the former APRA prime minister Jehude Simons, Roberto Sánchez, reach even 15% of the votes cast; very far, therefore, from the 50% plus one vote that its constitution demands to assume the presidency.
2. As in the 2011, 2016 and 2021 elections, there will be a second round that is presented as the Fujimorism vs. anti-Fujimorism dilemma; but, in reality it is between who represents in this new electoral farce thecomprador faction of the big bourgeoisie, Keiko Fujimori of FP, on the one hand, and who represents the bureaucratic faction of the big bourgeoisie, Roberto Sánchez.

It is also very clear that absenteeism in absolute and relative terms was very similar to that of the 2021 elections, expressing the spontaneous rejection of the reactionary elections and the institutions and representatives of the old State, it has been 7,157,687, that is, 26,194% of eligible voters; The one who achieved the highest vote in April, K. Fujimori, obtained 2,877,678 votes, approximately 10,528% of the total electoral roll; here is the much-celebrated victory of Keiko or, even worse, of Roberto Sánchez, who came in second place among the losers of this reactionary electoral contest. Sánchez, who is raising the program of the bureaucratic faction, has borrowed Pedro Castillo's campaign hat and presents himself as the political heir of “castillismo”, that is, of the opportunist counterrevolutionary rondero Pedro Castillo.

Sánchez, in this second round of the reactionary farce, presents himself as “the lesser evil” to try to overcome the rejection of the great masses of the old State, its civil, military and ecclesiastical institutions, its parties and representatives that are expressed in the cold but eloquent electoral figures.
4. It is necessary to express that we reject, repudiate and brand with fire the rats of the opportunist line of the revisionist and capitulationist right (LOD), which in the first round called for a “flawed vote” “against the electoral farce” seeking to legitimize the reactionary elections with greater participation; while, on the other hand, he participated with candidates on some electoral lists of the various reactionary parties. Now, the LOD is trying to surprise again with some Do Not Vote! signs, while negotiating its support for Sánchez's JPP.
5. If we put together all the opportunists and revisionists and reactionaries who raise the program of the bureaucratic faction of the big bourgeoisie, together they do not even reach 15% of the valid votes. That is to say, all of these together who, in collusion and struggle, are on the program of the bureaucratic faction in the 2026 General Elections, together they have been crushed by the very amphorae that they adore so much, now even adding them together they do not reach the percentage of non-voters, what a great triumph they can boast. For their part, the representatives of the purchasing faction have reaped one of their worst electoral failures, with Keiko, López Aliaga and others, together they are very far from reaching Keiko's 39% in the first round of 2016.
6. The role of Together for Peru (JPP), as head of the bureaucratic faction in the presidential and legislative elections through its propaganda, electoral disguise, candidate quotas and offering of perks serves parliamentary cretinism, revisionism, opportunism and betrayal of the class and the people. That is why it tends to drag in all the opportunists, revisionists and sell-outs, starting with the rats of the LOD.
7. The dispersion of votes and lack of definition mark the General Elections of April 2026; The second round is presented as the most sinister farce to manipulate the masses, both by the representatives of the compraist faction and the bureaucratic faction of the big bourgeoisie, to serve the same objective of trying to drag the masses to appoint a new President “anointed by a majority of votes” (“legitimized”). Both candidates and the mainstream media, knowing the masses' rejection of the elections, reactionary politicians and parties shown in the first round, resort to instilling fear by raising the threat of the "worst of evils" that the victory of the opponent would cause, to call for voting for their candidacy as the "lesser evil."

Reaction and imperialism need “legitimized” authorities in the face of their greatest collapse to continue applying their genocide against the popular struggle and their “low intensity war” to seek to annihilate the PCP and the people's war, to conjure the general reorganization of the Party in and for the people's war.
10. Furthermore, whoever is appointed in the second round will not have a majority in parliament, both in the chamber of senators and in the chamber of deputies. With the dispersion of seats, a more aggravated collusion and struggle of groups and factions of exploiters for circumstantial or “ad hoc” majorities will develop. The evil that further rots this entire old State will worsen, its bicameral parliament will not be benches of parties but of individuals, each of whom represents themselves in the vast majority of cases.
11. The contest between the new president of the landowner-bureaucratic State at the service of imperialism, mainly Yankee, and the parliament is therefore pre-scheduled and will be resolved by impasse in the senate, which cannot be dissolved.
12. The Senate constitutionally becomes the key institution to decide the fate of the president; the April results give Fuerza Popular its dominance, which becomes the main force in the Senate with 22 seats. But it does not have an absolute majority, which will force constant negotiations with other parties. Together for Peru is the second force, "while groups such as Renovación Popular and the Good Government Party position themselves as key actors in governability." “With 60 senators and multiple forces in dispute, the real challenge will be to build consensus.” (the quotation marks are from journalistic comments)
Therefore, the restructuring of the old State is a necessity of imperialism and reaction, that is why the struggle between new "reforms" or "new" constitution will continue. The rats of the LOD as servants of the old State raise their slogan of "new constitution" to try to save the old State and crush the struggle of the masses and conjure their new incorporation into the people's war.
In conclusion, everything shows that the Peruvian State has become weaker at its foundations and will have to rely more and more on its armed and repressive forces; and it will be clearer to the people that the armed forces are the backbone of the State and that this State is nothing more than organized violence for the maintenance of the slavery of the Peruvian people and that only serves to be swept away.
Elections, no! People's war, yes!
