Actions and Statements for Chairman Gonzalo
The historical speech of Chairman Gonzalo from the shining trench of combat was held today, 24th of September, 31 years ago. This speech was an important blow against imperialism, mainly Yankee as the sole hegemonic superpower, and the reactionary old Peruvian State. They tried to undermine the Chairman as the leader of the Party and the Revolution showing him in a cage and with a prisoner’s uniform in front of press cameras that would record him. However, he turned the situation and conducted his transcendental speech, truly a weapon of combat, and giving a new boost to the World Proletarian Revolution.

Already on September 11th, the second anniversary of Chairman Gonzalo giving his life for the Proletarian World Revolution, was commemorated. In different countries throughout the world, statements and actions have been made for this important date.

In Sweden graffiti with the slogans “Eternal glory to Chairman Gonzalo!”, “Long live the Communist Party of Peru!” and “Long live the People’s War in Peru!” were done.
In different countries around the globe there have been actions in commemoration of the historical speech of Chairman Gonzalo:
From Colombia we received the following information:
Communists carried out a day of propaganda at the University of Antioquia (Medellin, Colombia) in honor of Chairman Gonzalo who two years ago offered his life in the highest luminous trench of combat of the People’s War, winning a political, military and moral victory for the Communist Party of Peru, the People’s War, the international proletariat and the peoples of the world’.
There were also graffiti with slogans for the International Communist League, for the Freedom of the Communist Georges Abdallah and one graffiti that says ‘Against the big landlord-bureaucratic State, organize the people for the People’s War’.
In Denmark, in the Taastrupgaard neighborhood in Copenhagen, a dazibao has been hung up with the slogans: “Long live the 31st anniversary of the transcendental speech of Chairman Gonzalo!”, “Honor and eternal glory to Chairman Gonzalo!”, “Long live the People’s War in Peru! ” and “Long live the Communist Party of Peru!”
Also in the Lundtoftegade neighborhood, another dazibao was hung up with the same slogans.
Finally, a graffiti in the city of Ballerup with hammer and sickle and the slogan “Eternal Honor and glory to Chairman Gonzalo!” was done.
In the city of Essen, Germany, a graffiti which reads “The speech of Chairman Gonzalo shines victoriously before the world as a weapon of combat!” was done.
In the city of Bremen a mural was done. Therein is a quote of the speech itself “Finally now, listen to this. As we see in the world, Maoism is marching unstoppably to lead the new wave of world proletarian revolution. Listen well and understand! Those who have ears, use them. Those who have understanding–and we all have it–use it!” and the mural ends with the slogan “Eternal honor and glory to Chairman Gonzalo!”.
