HONOR AND ETERNAL GLORY FOR PRESIDENT GONZALO!
Five years ago, on September 11, 2021, President Gonzalo died as a prisoner of war and in the custody of the old State of Peru.
Detained since September 12, 1992, he remained in solitary confinement throughout his captivity, as well as physical and psychological torture.
Precisely today, when imperialism has unleashed one of its most criminal campaigns against the peoples of the third world, particularly against those of Western Asia; When opportunism and revisionism have run out of ground to sustain their capitulatory verbiage, aimed at conjuring revolution and, at the same time, the monstrosities of the bureaucratic bourgeoisie, such as the so-called "socialism of the 21st century", have shown their true face, making it clear that they were never progressive programs or revolutionary currents, the life, struggle and legacy of President Gonzalo takes on special relevance.
It is clear: we cannot continue playing into the hands of imperialism by “strengthening” the so-called democratic processes, true ambushes towards which opportunism and revisionism push us. These operate as a hammer, while the old bureaucratic-landlord State serves as an anvil. Between them, the expectations of the class and the people to achieve better living conditions are destroyed.
The path is another, the democratic one, that of struggle, that of popular revolution. President Gonzalo marked the path with fire. We must build, concentrically and simultaneously, the instruments of the revolution, with the Party as the center. That is the task. But this struggle would remain incomplete if we do not develop the people's war to conquer and defend Power.
Today, the international proletariat and the masses of the world pay a heartfelt tribute on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the death of President Gonzalo. We cannot deny that the assassination of the leadership and the blows against the leadership of the revolution cause shocks that violently shake the organization and its plans. They can hinder and even delay the triumph of the revolution, but they can never neutralize or annihilate it, because that would be anti-historical and anti-dialectical. Imperialism and reaction only prolong their agony.
From the most sensitive core of our people we glorify the life and work of President Gonzalo. We wield his thoughts as the almighty weapon capable of leading the class and the people to triumph; We assume Marxism-Leninism-Maoism-Gonzalo thought as the correct ideological line and, even in its absence, we continue to recognize it as the leadership of the new revolutionary wave promoted by the international proletariat.
