IRLANDA: Revolutionary Irish Socialist Republican Movement reitarate support to CPI (Maoist) in occasion to 21st anniversary foundation of the latter

The leadership of the Revolutionary Irish Socialist Republican Movement and our mass organisation Anti Imperialist Action Ireland, welcome the important statement from the leadership of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) that the Revolutionary Armed Struggle, the class war and the Protracted People’s War under their leadership will continue until victory and that the People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army will never lay down their arms.
In revolutionary optimism, Irish supporters of the People’s War in India never doubted this was the position of the CPI(Maoist) and the PLGA, but the clarification provides an important opportunity for international comrades to express and demonstrate support with the Indian People’s War.
As Irish Republicans we are all too aware of the media propaganda that the capitalist and imperialists will attempt to spread to undermine the Revolution and to demoralise comrades. It is a credit to the leadership of the Indian Revolution that swift and decisive action has been taken to clarify the situation. In Ireland, our struggle is also attacked by the propaganda and lies of the imperialists. They attempt to present the war for national liberation as finished and defeated, and yet it still continues and the Revolutionary Republican movement continues to grow.
The People’s War led by the CPI(Maoist) is one of the most advanced revolutions at this moment and the instruments of Revolution led by the party are some of the most advanced and continue to inspire Revolutionaries around the world. From Ireland to Palestine and from India to the Philippines, and for all struggling and oppressed peoples around the world, the armed struggle is legitimate and the only path to freedom.
Since the 1916 Rising, revolutionaries in Ireland and India have enjoyed strong fraternal links as we shared the same enemy in British Imperialism. Today that solidarity remains as we continue our fight against imperialism in our respective countries and respective revolutions, with the class struggle as always the motive force in our fight for national liberation and Socialism
