Actions for the Anti-imperialist League
Hereby, we publish some propaganda actions done following the call for actions from the Coordination Committee of the Anti-imperialist League.
In the land were the fierce struggle of Barro Branco took place, in Jaqueira, Brazil, there has been an internationalist event in support of the heroic Palestinian Resistance. On October 12 the League of Poor Peasants and anti-imperialist students collectives, together with peasants have done an event for the First Year of the Palestinian Resistance, following the call of the Anti-imperialist League.
At the end of the event, which was successful, chants as: “Palestine is our country! Together we will win – Anti-imperialist League!” or “Lebanese and Palestinian Youth, your struggle continues in Latin America” were sung.
“The Palestinians show that any resistance by the people will be victorious, and following their example, we announce from here in Barro Branco that Palestine resists and that Palestine will triumph!” was said during the event.
In Tampere, Finland, an anti-imperialist event entitled “What is imperialism?” was also held. Twenty participants came to the event, which was advertised in flyers. The presentation explained what imperialism is, told with plenty of footage and a few videos about anti-imperialist struggles in the world, especially the development of Palestine solidarity and the anti-imperialist movement, the Anti-imperialist League (AIL), and the manifestation of all this in Finland. In the end, everyone was invited to join in founding an anti-imperialist organization in Tampere. The presentation raised many questions and discussions in the audience, which were continued in smaller groups. Many were interested in organized anti-imperialist activities and many were also convinced of their willingness to join.
In Kristiansand, Norway, posters for Palestine have been put up. On one of the posters it says “Support the Palestinian resistance struggle – Free Palestine” an on the other, which is from the Coordinating Committee for Anti-Imperialist League (AIL) it says “Palestine is our country – Together we will win”. Posters for Sandra Estéfana Domínguez Martínez, lawyer and sister of a member of Sol Rojo who disappeared on October 4, were also found.
In Oslo, Norway, posters of the Anti-imperialist League were put up in the city center.
