We have previously reported on the detention of 13 Partizan readers on the 3rd of October, six of whom were arrested.

Yeni Demokrasi reports that the first hearing in the trial against the six Partizan readers took place today at the Çağlayan Courthouse in Istanbul. The Partizan readers were arrested for legal and democratic actions, and baseless accusations of “membership of a terrorist organization” and “propagandizing for a terrorist organization”. The hearing ended with a decision to keep the Partizan readers imprisoned, and the next hearing was postponed to the 12th of December.
