Peru : Yankees go home! (updated)
We denounce
and condemn the largest military intervention of Yankee imperialism in our
country:
For the
APEC summit, which will be held in Peru from November 4 to 24, a force of “600
US soldiers will provide support to the Police and Armed Forces of Peru during
the APEC 2024 forum.
The US
contingent will include Black Hawk helicopters, AWACS aircraft and tankers, Air
Force One and others,” according to the Ministry of Defense itself, “they will
be able to enter Peru in the next few days after the Peruvian Congress approved
the request sent to it this week by the government of Dina Boluarte” (the Congress
itself reported). As we know, these military forces are under the Southern
Command of the Armed Forces of Yankee imperialism.
This is one
more act of surrender and genocidal, fascist and traitorous character of the
government of Dina Boluarte, congress, armed forces and other civil and
military components of the old Peruvian State, a landowner-bureaucratic State
at the service of imperialism, mainly Yankee. With this act, Yankee imperialism
reaffirms its strategic military position in Peru and Latin America for its war
of aggression against our peoples. It is an important step in the greater
military expansion and control of Yankee imperialism in our country and the
continent.
The Yankee
military presence will be to command and strengthen with its powerful
deployment the military operations in the territory of Peru itself,
subordinating its civil authorities, its military and police forces in the
announced operation; it cannot be any other way, to maintain the contrary is to
believe the story, that the military presence of Yankee imperialism, the only
hemonic world superpower, is to provide help and depend on the will of the
“assisted” country. It is necessary to keep this in mind in order to judge the
situations that occur in other scenarios, such as, for example, in the Greater
Middle East.
Contrary to
all the official statements of the representatives of the current fascist,
genocidal and traitorous government of Dina Boluarte and of the congress that
supports her, the true nature of the requested and approved entry of more
Yankee troops into the national territory is treason and selling out of the
interests of Peru, as a nation oppressed by imperialism. Peru as an oppressed
nation is a nation in formation. Even more so, if the deployment for the “security”
operation will cover a good part of the national territory of Peru, as can be
read in the press release of the congress or “pigsty of Plaza Bolivar”:
“The
authorization sent by the Boluarte government to Parliament for the entry of
American soldiers and their equipment, who will be deployed not only in Lima,
but also in Pisco and Chiclayo, cities in the south and north of Peru,
respectively, and who will remain in the country for three weeks.
The 600
American soldiers who will enter Peru are part of the US Army, Air Force and
Marines. Two planes, four Blackhawk helicopters, rifles, machine guns, pistols,
refueling trucks, military dogs and more are included in the authorization
request.”
It is
necessary to point out that during the government of the Cerrón family's “Peru
Libre” party, with its two presidents, first, the counterrevolutionary
patrolman Pedro Castillo and, now, the current genocidal Dina Boluarte, more
Yankee soldiers have entered the country than in previous years; from Castillo
to Boluarte, there are 1,500 Yankee imperialist soldiers who have entered the
country in this period.
This is not
just a short entry for a “security operation”, but an act of open and direct
military presence with the exercise of military power on Peruvian soil, which
passes from the country’s armed forces to the imperialist armed forces, which
means putting the genocidal and lackey armed forces of the Peruvian State and
its police and auxiliary forces under the direct command of the Yankee armed
forces subject to its Southern Command, which will come to fulfill security
tasks. This means a greater expansion, control and military threat of Yankee
imperialism against our people, the country and all other peoples and countries
of South America. Specifically, as regards Peru, this powerful military
displacement under the pretext of a “security operation within the framework of
APEC” of Yankee imperialism, is a demonstration of political and military
submission of the old Peruvian State and its civil and military authorities,
which expresses the greatest commitment and direct military intervention of
imperialism against the country.
We recall
that on March 19, 2013, a new “agreement of political and military cooperation
was formalized by Peru and the United States, in order to confront drug
trafficking and terrorism. The agreement also includes the safe exploitation of
uranium and humanitarian assistance.”
The entry
of Yankee troops within the framework of APEC is part of the application of
this agreement, an unequal treaty of submission (signed by the government of
the genocidal Olannta Humala) to the dictates of the imperialist master, which
replaced the previous one that was signed by the military government of Odría.
“The treaty, which began to be forged in 2012, was made official on March 19 in
Washington through a memorandum that provides for the exchange of technology,
training and technical advice between both countries.” According to the Spanish
newspaper El País, on March 27, 2013.
In
compliance with this agreement since January 2013, there have been Legislative
Resolutions and resolutions from the Ministry of Defense, approving the entry
of foreign military personnel, mainly North American. See that in many cases
this foreign personnel is part of the “Training and Equipment” programs that
the United States uses for its intervention in our countries.
The Yankee
military forces, especially the elite ones or Special Operations Forces (US
Special Operations forces (SOF)) have been intervening for all these years in the
country against the people's war. They feel the need to continue intervening in
the country, now on the occasion of APEC, to try to prevent the general
reorganization of the Communist Party of Peru, to crush with blood and fire the
development of the struggles of our people, who are developing their powerful
mobilizations against the greatest dispossession to which they are subjected by
imperialism, bureaucratic capitalism and the landowners.
