CELEBRATE THE DAY OF HEROICITY ESTABLISHED AS THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF POLITICAL AND REVOLUTIONARY PRISONERS OF WAR!
Every year on June 19, the Day of Heroism is celebrated in Peru and around the world.
On June 19, communists and revolutionaries from all over the world celebrate this date, commemorating the rebellion of 38 years ago of the prisoners of war of the Communist Party of Peru. They rebelled in defense of the revolution and their lives against the reaction's plans to annihilate them and deal a decisive blow to the people's war.
On this solemn occasion, of great historical significance for the communists and masses of Peru and the world, and as a sign of our homage and commitment, we publish the Resolution of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Peru, which establishes June 19 as the Day of Heroism, Peru June 1986.
The glorious belligerent death of these prisoners of war is covered with the blood already shed and before it, the communists, the combatants and the sons of the people, armed, assume the unwavering commitment to follow their luminous example, to develop the people's war to serve the world revolution until the unfading light of communism settles throughout the world under the undefeated flags of Marx, Lenin and Mao Tsetung, of the ever-living Marxism-Leninism-Maoism.

DAY OF HEROISMRESOLUTION
Following the path of its predecessor, the reactionary APRA government from the beginning applied genocide against the people's war, covering it with bombastic demagogy with the complicit support of electoral opportunism as proven by Aqomarca, Umaru, Bellavista and Llocllapampa; crimes perpetrated by the armed and police forces of the Peruvian State.
The reaction sinisterly targeted the prisoners of war, planning their genocidal annihilation carried out on October 4 of last year in the cowardly and brutal murder of thirty combatants in the Lurigancho prison; a nefarious crime also unpunished that only the triumphant people will punish.
On June 18, 1986, in El Frontón, Lurigancho and Callao, the prisoners of war rose up in rebellion against the new genocide in progress, after publicly denouncing, before the courts and authorities, repeatedly, the carnage that the government and its armed forces were plotting; they rebelled in defense of the revolution and their lives, demanding twenty-six very just and rational demands.
On the 19th, the reactionary APRA government headed by Alan García, after its grotesque farce manipulating the so-called "Peace Commission," unleashed the most vile and black extermination operation; mobilizing the Army, the Navy, the Air Force and the police forces, under the Joint Command, it consummated the most infamous genocide, murdering hundreds of guerrillas and children of the people who were prisoners of war, bathing itself once again in the ardent popular blood. May Alan Garcia, his Council of Ministers, the Joint Command, the armed and police forces be subjected to the indelible shame that the people will not forget and that only he will sanction!
The combatants of the Popular Guerrilla Army, prisoners of war, waving the banner "The rebellion is justified" fought heroically and courageously, sealing a milestone of heroism, value and courage that history will keep as an exemplary demonstration of the heroic men that only the people's war is capable of generating.
Thus, June 19th is stamped everlastingly as the DAY OF HEROISM, the blood of these heroes is already bearing fruit in the armed revolution, setting it on fire even more, rising as a monumental fluttering flag and inexhaustible war cry that calls for the inevitable final triumph.
