We hereby share an unofficial translation of the Mexico part of the latest Weekly Newsletter published by Sol Rojo Mexico.

While the Technocrat Government of the Republic is increasingly subordinating to Yankee imperialism, the war against the people deepens, revealing that only the mass rebellion will be able to throw the enemies of the people into the dustbin of history. In general, tiredness of social inclusion is created even in northern country territories such as Sinaloa, where the people’s movement has been “liquidated” by the counter-insurgent strategy of the regime in the clamp by the armed forces – organized crime, carried out since the beginning of the “dirty war”. In that federal State the masses have initiated an increasing wave of demonstrations demanding the dismissal of the narco-governor Rubén Rocha Moya (Morena) before the reactionary civil war in the entity, which has started since September 9, 2024, after the armed confrontation between two factions of the same cartel.

Almost 5 months after the beginning of the war which is not acknowledged by the Federal Government and which has left more than 700 dead and around a thousand missing, the masses have taken to the streets protesting the murder of two children and one father: Gael, Alexander and Antonio, respectively, who were murdered on 19 January. The protests began on the 23rd when education workers, parents and people in general marched in Culiacán and took the Government Palace, breaking windows and crushing doors to break into it while shouting “Rocha Out!”. Afterwards the masses continued their protests blocking important avenues of Sinaloa, taking the State Congress and unprecedentedly demonstrating during the baseball game between the “Tomateros of Culiacán” and the “Charros of Jalisco”, where from the stands the public overwhelming shouted the slogan that today has an unquestionable strength: Rocha Out! Facing these protests, the narco-governor said that “he will not resign”and minimizes the relevance of the protests saying … “because 5,000 people shouting, of 2,200,000 in the nominal register, the difference is very large”, as if all the Sinaloa people voted for him.

This scenario is also repeated in the center of the country, where this weekend in Tulancingo, Hidalgo dozens of people marched demanding the resignation of the Morenista [Translator’s note: of the MORENA Party, of Claudia Sheinbaum, currently in the government] mayor, Lorena García, pointed at by the people for her ties with crime and her responsibility in the wave of executions, extortion and threats against the population. Similarly, in the south of the country, the war against the people serves the counter-insurgency, without touching criminals and focusing the work of the State against people’s movements as it was denounced after the murder of the comrade member of the UCIZONI [Translator’s note: Union of Indigenous Communisties of the Northern Area of the Isthmus], who was also commissioner of the ejido of Buena Vista San Juan Guichicovi, Oaxaca, Arnoldo Nicolás Romero, which occurred on January 17; as well as arbitrary arrest of comrade Mario Gómez López, from the ejido Cuxtitali el Pinar, Chiapas, which occurred on January 24. Sinaloa, Hidalgo, Oaxaca and Chiapas, like the majority of the entities of the country, today are governed by the Morena Party. They have in common the following facts: homicides, femicides, disappearances, kidnappings, and arbitrary arrests. This phenomenon tends to increase with the strategy of national militarization that Claudia Sheinbaum continues and that will deepen with the militarization of both borders of the Mexican State.
